Swedish tennis player Björn Borg raises his fourth Wimbledon Cup, won in London 07 July 1979. Born in Södertälje, Borg first major title was the Italian Open (1974) and he went on to become Wimbledon singles champion five times in succession (1976-80). He also won the French singles title six times, and was the World Championship Tennis singles champion in 1976, and Masters champion in 1979 and 1980. He retired in 1981, but made three comebacks in 1982,1984, and 1992.

Players come and go, but you can be certain of one thing: a Wimbledon champion will never, ever be forgotten. Since the Open Era started in 1968 there have been 21 different champions at Wimbledon, each carving their name into tennis history.
